Fridailies and the deep freeze (Read 34 times)

It's Friday, which means wake up already.  I've got a four day weekend.  HOORAY!!  Today's training schedule includes a swim and a run.  I'll see how today's cold weather goes before determining TM vs outdoors for my short run.

The weatherfolk are saying "life threatening wind chills" this weekend.  I may have to treadmill that 14 miler Sunday.

Just got an email that my race on Sunday is cancelled. Running may be OK, but the volunteers would be miserable and the RD said an awards ceremony would be unbearable.

        Life threatening? Brrrr. Sounds cold

I have a SRD today. That's just the way things are.

Never thought about that, but makes perfect sense.

          From the Internet.

I ran today! It's a miracle! 3 on the treadmill, fiddling around with my phone between deadlift sets now (note to self: space out the running and lifting next time). Might try 6 or 7 on the mill this weekend, it'd be nice to have some semblance of a "long" run to look forward to again.

              Good morning!

I ran 10.2 miles with heavy snowfall.  I spent my whole run daydreaming about April.

I hope everyone has a great day!

                  Good morning!!

Skipped my run this morning and did the bowflex instead (going out tonight, so now I don't have to worry about squeezing it in when I get home from work).  Have plenty of miles on tap for the weekend, so no worries, 22 on Sat, 15 on Sun.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!

                    What up doe.

I had a 6:30 red cord session (FFS), then wrapped it up by taking the Eccetron challenge. The Eccentron is a leg machine that focuses on negative resistance, allowing you to load and fatigue the muscle quicker and safer than traditional training. I've spent time on it before, but was never able to coordinate what it was I was seeing on the screen, and what my legs were supposed to be doing. As such, I started off a little rough today, but finally found the groove towards the end. If I can ever work my way up to 30 minutes (today was an assessment, with just a 3 minute active period), watch out!

8 miles on the AlterG.  Whatever germs are floating around here are contagious, because I feel like crap.

And I finally have enough points to get a 235... but what I REALLY want is exactly what I have now (620), but with a built-in HRM.  WHY DOES THIS NOT EXIST?!

Something stupid about the VO2 metrics being built into the strap, which cannot be moved to the wrist.

It isn't the VO2 metrics (you get that with the FR230 and 235), it's the Running Dynamics.  And they could always just have the option to get the strap if you want those, much like they've done up until now.

I agree. I like my 620 and don't want to give up the wireless and bluetooth upload options and I like the smaller size etc. If I could have the wrist HRM I would upgrade to the 630 or whatever the latest model is.  I don't care about running dynamics.
