TuesDAILIES: Don't overthink it (Read 47 times)

Intervals today. 5x1000 @10k pace, or some such thing.

What's your 10K pace now? Same as before, or have you adjusted it a bit?

I took a Motrin 800 FFS. I don't like doing that but at this point I don't see any other options.

I probably should have done that when it first flared up but that was me and my dumb ideals about natural healing and all of that crap.

Shit, I'm so desparate now that I might crush one up and snort it. lol

I hear you. I just recently (like 2-3 weeks ago) started taking Ibuprofen after a run when my groin or butt is hurting. It was, as you say, dumb ideals about natural healing. I think it might be helping. At least I don't think it is aggravating anything.

        I adjusted it to 7:30.

Birthday wishes to FS and PR!

6.4 miles, plus an hour strength training class. This evening there is a yard full of leaves that I intend to tackle on a beautiful 60*-plus day, rather than leave it for more normal November weather.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

I am starting to wonder if I should wear my short sleeve shirt or singlet with arm warmers.

I am starting to wonder if I should wear my short sleeve shirt or singlet with arm warmers.

Arm sleeves would be wonderful but not everyone gets that. Cool

Based on the mid-race and ending temps, it looks like a singlet under a throwaway long sleeve top.

Throwaway gloves are also possible depending on what the wind is doing in relation to the course those early miles.

So, half a mile into my run this morning I tripped and took a headfirst dive on the sidewalk. Both palms & one elbow got pretty torn up. Most importantly though, only a small scrape on one knee, did not hit it too hard. A lot of blood overall though; I turned around & started to head back, but decided to stop in a McDonalds bathroom to clean myself off, and do the run. After finishing, radied the first aid kit at the gym for bandages, and subsequently the one at the office.

                          7 miles with 4 x 1200. 6:48, 6:39, 6:38, 6:32

Don't know at what time the race starts, but be careful: at 12 the wind will change direction. Plan accordingly.

The course runs mostly N (first half) / S (second half)
