Trying to find some more hay to restock the barn
Hello all,
Oski that is a wild photo, be safe there.
Baboon, I feel your weather and it is not good.
Slurpee Day is a new one for me, not one in my area so I will have to pass. However, mark your calendar as Sunday 7/21 is national ice cream day.
Went out to breakfast with a few of my coworkers today (I love going out for breakfast) and got fat and happy. So I had to get my 4.6 miles in the afternoon. The weather isn’t cooperating 73 degrees with 72 dew point and 97% humidity isn’t good running weather.

11 miles. Not sure why or how or WTF but they were faster than MP. And I was not running at MP effort. A good breathing day.

Supp yo!
Yes, I do actually run.
7.5 with a shit load of strides done this morning in a cool breeze.
Now, back to my bunker.
Peace.
AprilRunner, enjoy whatever you do.
Brr, fantastic five-miler.Nicole, have fun on the group run.scottydawg, bravo on running in that nasty mugginess. I think that I'll stick to my leggings, long-sleeve crewneck tech tee, and below-the-knee skirt. Yes, my mom is Greek. So is my dadB-Plus, enjoy your fourteen-miler.Marjorie, another amazing double-digit run.jjs22, I bring the crazy every day
Tom, fantastic wet four.
SIAR, bravo on the twelve-miler.
Rondog65, awesome 4.6.
Damaris, I'm thrilled that the eleven miles went so well.
Rick, sweet 7.5.I had to move weights to tomorrow. Today, I did 3.41 miles in 32:12. 9:27 pace. 76F temperature. A cooler 69F dewpoint:/ Running in warmer weather is slowly becoming easier. I also did an work and push-ups.
I learned some sad news. A few days ago, the owner of the salon in Jerusalem where I had my pedicure died. He was four years younger than I. He left a wife and little kid. He was an honest businessman and treated everyone, especially his friends, family, and employees, kindly. Damn. His wife is too young to be dealing with this
I'm sorry to hear about that Basya.
14 miles @ 7:38 w/ middle 8 @ 6:50 average. My pre-workout beverage was a free Coke slurpee, and now I'm recovering with a free cream soda slurpee.
Sorry to hear about the passing, death is such a hard thing to deal with, especially when it effects young families and kids.
Sorry to hear about the passing, Basya. My thoughts are with his family.
Hi dailies:
Oski - Yikes. That is scary.
Kristin - how does your phone think that oaibs is a word?
DaveP - promising, good job
Baboon - all excellent news
Basya - cool link. Sorry to hear about your salon friend.
April - hope the storms didn't get you
Brr - great weather
Hobbit - Now that is the way to run...
MBC - and not from munchkinville
Scotty - The free slurpee was tempting, but I opted for the usual iced coffee
B+ - smokin' workout, good job
Zelanie - enjoy that rest
D - hola, good run
Marjorie - double digits as usual
jjs - huh, that sounds neat, good luck
Tom - yes, it was like that here until some weird "hand of God" system came through yesterday and drove off the lingering humidity
lilac - caffeine may help
SIAR - nice n' easy
Ron - 7/21 is also Local Kick Ass day, but National Ice Cream may be a good after party.
Rick - Gatling gun?
15.22 with the last 5 between GMP and HMP. Within minutes of going out the door, I moved to the wrong lane of my street for a cyclist bombing it hard, glanced over and waved an acknowledgement, and then "hey JAY!". Haha, it was my soon-to-be-an-Ironman boss. Oski, do you have any spare masks?
Jay, that sounds similar to my WTF 22 miler to come soon enough. Great job.
Hip Redux
Ha, Jay! lol
Basya - so sorry to hear. Way too young.
I'm sorry to hear about that Basya. 14 miles @ 7:38 w/ middle 8 @ 6:50 average. My pre-workout beverage was a free Coke slurpee, and now I'm recovering with a free cream soda slurpee.
I love cream soda, but I've never seen it in a slurpee.
Phew, after SIAR's post, I was going to ask if cream soda is just a Canadian thing. According to this blog post:
http://whatsdifferentincanada.tumblr.com/post/51984506961/cream-soda
cream soda is brown in the states. Is that for real?
