Yuk yuk
21.5 miles a day to us is what 21.5 miles once is to non runners!

Not fun reading in FB your grandmother died today.

I’m sorry 😞
On the job front, I agree that disappearing for two hours in the middle of the day is not the best plan in a new job. Maybe you'll be able to do it, but I wouldn't plan that right now if I were you, of course.
I did a Zoom interview today to change position in my current company. Nice shirt and jacket with worn out jeans, lol.
If I get it, it's not even a promotion. Same salary, same everything. Just that I would not be a programmer anymore.
Since I don't know who my competition is, I have no idea if I'll get it or not. I'm very honest and I do not answer what is supposed to be proper, but what I truthfully think. If you hire me, you chose the real guy you're going to get.
Good luck, Cy.
+1.
Sorry, D.
A pretty big annual 10k around here (1700 finishers last year), run in mid-August, has just been cancelled. Starting to creep towards fall....
Dave
6 miles this afternoon plus lower body strength training.
Docket, sorry for your loss.
Cyberic, hope you get good news about the intervview.
It does not. But like most things running, it's probably viewed as a challenge to the person who is doing it.
It's the way of the world. Sorry. Will you be traveling for the services?
Thanks, guys.
Since it was super windy today and on and off thunder, I hopped on the TM and ran 6.25 with three miles of today's OTF workout. That helped. I also lifted.
Thanks all. The thing is I don't mind if they don't take me. I represented myself so truthfully in the interview that if they don't like me, I prefer they do not give me the job, if that makes sense. Sure I want the job, but thankfully I'm in a position that not getting it would not be dramatic at all. Just a slap on the ego.
Sorry about your grandmother D.
Good luck on the job Cy. Is it something that you think you'll enjoy more than programming?
I ran 8 with Mona

Did 40 min Piyo (pilates + yoga). Its obvious that I run because I lack coordination and grace

I'm getting older and as I get older I get wiser, sure, but also less sharp, less quick minded. Programming requires a lot of brain power, where as being a security architect is more of a strategic position. So I think yeah, I'd be glad for the change, but I also think I might miss having my hands dirty (virtually, of course). I don't know for sure, but I think at this point in my life that other position is better.
