    Mike came over to my house and together we ran 2.8 miles so I got to 2,100 for the year.  Though it was almost 40º, I still wore running pants just to keep my legs extra warm.  No discomfort, but then I wasn't really pushing hard or going far.

    Some stats for the year:

    Miles = 2,100

    Time = 360:56:17

    Races = 18 for 141.7 miles in 22:01:09

    ParkRuns = 12 for 37.3 miles in 5:20:47

    I wrote a year in review summary here, if you want to read it (I don't want to re-post it here for fear of the system labeling me a spammer again).

    5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22);
    10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)

    Upcoming races: Running is Back 10k, 5/12; Greta's Run 5k, 5/19

      Fred - great job on getting to 2,100 miles!

      That was a good year for you with PRs/PBs and that trail race you won!

      Per Running ahead, in 2023 I ran 1,939 miles in 266:12:07

      I raced 26 times (I include 2 ParkRuns and one friendly run, because they well all-out efforts!)

        Vitaly - You had a pretty good year too:  3 new PRs and tied a 4th.  Good job, indeed.

          Fred - Great year!  2100 miles!  I'll check out your year in review.  Glad you didn't have any discomfort.

          Vitaly - Nice year for you as well.  Great PRs!

          I ran an easy 2.5 today with strides at the end.  I was sore from Friday's run, but normal sore.  I sat the rest of the day.  Watched the Eagles continue to suck and then go up and my right calf, that's been an issue repeatedly this year, is feeling like a strain out of nowhere.  Hopefully I wake up tomorrow and it's fine!  1248 miles for me.  Last year I ran 292.  I think I've run about 20 races this year.  I'll have to add it all up.

          Happy New Year everyone!

            Mike - I hope the calf issue turns out to be nothing.  If you logged your races here at RA, you can use the powerful Reports tool to summarize your year for you.  It's the best reporting tool I've found on any online running site.  It puts Strava and Garmin to shame.

              Fred - thank you, I’m certainly not going to complain about my running in 2023! Good luck tomorrow!

              Mike - when you think they can’t play any worse, they turn around and do just that 😂

              Hope your calf is fine by tomorrow! See you at the race!

                  Evening! Happy New Year! Woke up to a leg flare (ITB area), sigh. Ran 3 with strides on the TM tonight.

                      Good luck, guys. I'll see if I'm not limping tomorrow morning for my race. It's at 10am so I have time to stretch if needed.

                        Final weekend of the 2023 final and I logged 8.2 miles yesterday and 8.4 today to finish the week with 50.1 miles. I think this is only the 3rd time I've had a week with 50+ miles.
