Alexander - Nice recovery week.  To be fair to one of the RDs, two of my cancellations this year were trail runs where the park rescinded the permit after a storm damaged the trails.  I do agree NYRR has seemed a bit trigger happy with cancellations lately.

A decent week for me.  I completed my first track workout in more than two months, managing four 1-mile intervals at something between 10k and HM pace.  Saturday I went to ParkRun and logged the same time as two weeks ago; what are the odds?  Fun fact:  my best ParkRun finish, 6th place, came on the day I logged my slowest ParkRun time ever, 28:41.  Anyway, 38.0 miles for the week.

Nice week, Fred, 7 days of running with a track workout and a race. I think best overall place is more important than the absolute time. The course could randomly get a bit longer, or there could be some obstacles on the course or adverse weather conditions, many things can impact the time, but  higher relative placement almost always indicates stronger effort.
