Just can't win this training cycle...
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Thanks Holly!

A 5K with your son, Sub? That's great! Where will you be doing that?
It is the Hamel Freeze Y'er Buns Run! It starts and finishes about a 5 minute walk from our house. Our back yard faces the road at roughly the 2.9 mile point, so my wife will be out on our deck cheering us on as we approach the finish line. My son has never run that far before, so we will be pacing very conservatively. Hopefully, this -50F windchill nonsense will be over by then!
Woohoo!!!
That was one of the first 5ks I ran when I started running...
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Wow, that’s kinda funny! It’s sad that I’ve only run it once in the last 4 years living INSIDE the race route. I’ve driven to other races where I’ve parked farther away from the start than my house is from the starting line of this race. I run the course, or a portion of it, almost every time I run outside. Yet I can’t drag myself over there on race day.
There’s always next year.
Thank you, Holly!
