    ============

I have died and gone to Computer Pinter Update Hell

a decade ago this was no big shakes

    VENT ON

    today-

''they're all wireless'' the guy said

''I want mine to connect with a USB, I don't want wireless'' I says

''well, they all are'' he said

    ''thank you anyway'' I seys

''wait, you can still plug in a USB'' he exclaimed

''hhhhhmmmmm'' I muses ''if this doesn't work can I return it??''

''sure'' he says ''which Windows do you have??''

    ''I don't use Windows, I use FireFox'' I stammer

''well, I have to know which Windows''

''ok, NOT vista,,,,,,and we can now both assume I don't know Crappe about Wireless Printers'' I confesses

punchline,,,,,,I went home, used the 3rd Grade Graphics to put the thing together and installed it in about 10-minutes

    now,

I need to write myself a note a decade from now to give myself a heads-up at the nursing home for this

    ...............good running to ya

..nothing takes the place of persistence.....

      Happy Birthday DG!!

Holly - I love the name Rosie for your puppy - that's my bikes name altho I don't really refer to it like that too often!!

Leslie - sending you a pm about injury stuff

Spring definitely jumped to summer very quickly here today as well!! I certainly hope Marathon Monday doesn't pull this kind of nonsense!!

2550m in the pool today - felt great - wish I was faster but I'm not - oh well!!

One hour computraining - felt great on the bike but once in awhile I feel it's a little too much work for the left hip and it is a little "achey" afterward. Saw my primary care who really doesn't think I should even be pushing it on the bike right now. She realizes she is not the expert, but based on the ortho recommendations I should only be in the water for now ..... not sure I can survive that. I really need that endorphin rush that comes from a good sweat on the bike if I can't run, but I don't want to push this injury any further.

Next step is blood work, bone density test and a second opinion with a different sports medicine doctor who works out of Spaulding Rehab and works primarily with runners and triathletes.

Nicholas and Allison returned home from Italy last night. So great to see them and watch their dog so happy welcoming them home.

The dog is gone, but her shedding black lab hairs are not --- time to clean the house!!

        Afternoon everyone.

I'm with you RunnerKSA, the older I get the longer it takes to bounce back.

Happy Birthday dg. I had a great time getting to know you irl  on the relay last year in June.

Cute puppy & cute name HollyS.

Going over to read your race report now Mariposai. Hopefully race reports will become a regular feature in here again.

Beautiful weather here today made for an excellent 11 mile run along the river trails.

tw.    I say that computer knowledge fits in the 'need to know basis' category.    well.   I guess today you needed to know.   but now you can give classes at the nursing home.       and,  thanks!   but .   just what is this 'thoughtful running'??    :  Wink

Deez..... hugs!   I .. we all... it's tough.

Holly I almost mentioned Rosie! (do I get after the fact points?  and if so how are they redeemed?  Wink...    but I didn't want to over name suggestion post.   Once I had a westie/golden cocker mix.   first small dog I'd ever had, curled up in my hand...amazing.  Anyway, my DD named him Rosie!   (she was 2  : )  Wink
I'm so glad you have her.   She is adorable.   Sarah is happy?   Dexter?

                Hello everybody!

I'm just popping in to say hi.  I had a chiropractor appointment right after work, then had to rush to a meeting at church, now I'm waiting for Debbie to get out of a daycare meeting so we can go home.

Oaky--that's all I got.  See ya!

                    happy birthday DG...have some cake!

3 miles of sweaty running at lunchtime.  it felt good to get out there.

                    Trails Rock!

Happy Birthday, dg, It's good to have you back here.

I had a long day fixing a bunch of water meter information that was entered wrong into the meter reading software (entered by my boss). That is always awkward,,,, um "I don't know how this happened but all these account numbers are wrong." She never really admits that she made a mistake, just explains that the only way that could happen is if...._______. Oh well, it's fixed now but what a mess!  Right after work we had our appointment with the tax preparer. We have 12 rental units so a lot of stuff to track for the year. Plus we sold a fourplex, finished up repairing a fire damaged unit so had a huge pile of that stuff to go through.  MrStarr sure appreciates me getting all the numbers ready but it's quite a job.

After all that I couldn't waste a sunny, 55° day with no wind.  The run was great and it was my fastest of the year.  Almost five miles around the lake, just like tet!  Are you getting faster too? There is a huge flock of pelicans migrating through the area. I went out on the dock to watch them at lunch. They are such huge birds it's amazing that they can even get airborne. I wish I could remember that poem. Where is Spareribs when you need him?

My HRM was giving erratic readings for a while.  I may get a fitbit with a wrist monitor.  Any pros/cons?  I have a bunch of points/miles to use on a United credit card and was looking to see what I could "buy".  I only flew once and rarely use the card but have almost 40,000 points to use.

3.1 cool, sunny miles.  Legs a little better, but need to bounce back more before my 15K on Saturday.  It's a corporate challenge race and my company president is on the team, so I don't want to be terrible.

Out there running since dinosaurs roamed the earth
