Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Here's the plan:
6/29---5-6 easy-----5.5 miles @8:54 pace
6/30---9 miles including the weekly 5k race @7:30 pace----9.2 miles w/5k @24:23 (mile 3 disaster)
7/1----10-12 steady state run @8:15 pace-----10.6 in 1:28---8:20 pace---slower than target, but rock steady
7/2----4-5 easy-----4 @ 8:00---tad fast to get out of rain
7/3----4-5 w/strides----6.6 with strides @8:30 pace
7/4----6 including 4 on the 4th N'tom race @7:10 pace-----6 with 4@7:09 (28:33)
7/5----18-20 @ 8:30 pace----20.5 @ 8:42 overall (first part in 9:00s and second part at 8:00s in some places)
62.4 ---strong week and feeling good---getting into the jaws of marathon training now
weights and core work x 3
Thanks Holly ... plan for this week:
m - 5 scheduled [2.5m cut short by nature calling]

Friday - 16.1 miles
Sat - 5 miles

Total = 42.7 total
2012= under-goaled
Hi Holly, great pics on the Seattle RnR thread. You continue to inspire me with your energy and tenacity.
I've been a Dr Who fan since I was 7 years old (I grew up in England). Have you seen the Keys of Time series? Whenever I hear the title music I have flashbacks of the damp cold, the warm tea, and jockying for space on the sofa with my 5 siblings all of whom were exhausted after standing for 3 hours at the Man U football game. Anyway I digress here's my plan for this week.
6/29---8 easy. Done
6/30---14 long. Done
7/1----0
7/2----8 Done
7/3----8 easy Done
7/4----8 easy 0

Hey CNY, I am quite partial to the doctor's sonic screwdriver; that could come in very handy. My 12yo and her friends also love the series. I heard them discuss how each alien has a different word for destroy..."exterminate" (daleks) and "delete" (cyber men). I was seven whenI learnt the word metamorphosis having seen the first doctor become the second.
GKA---Watching Dr. Who right now. I watched it when I was a kid as well (via PBS). We just got back into it as a family this year and catching up through NetFlix. Love that it's been around for almost 46 years! My almost 13 yr. old is mad for it and there are days when I could certainly use a Tardis!

Thanks Holly. 5K race this Wednesday.
I knocked another 15 seconds off of my 5k PR from 4 weeks ago on the same course. Good progress.
Not at it at all.
Thanks again for doing this, Holly!
Back at it. 41.8 total.
