Looks like another solid week for you Alexander - even if you didn't get in as long of a run as you would normally like to get on the weekends.
I had a nice week of running last week
Tues: 5.2 miles
Wed: 8.1 miles
Fri: 3.1 miles before heading out on a road trip
Sat: 20.1 trail miles, 2000 ft elev, in the Redwoods!
TOTAL: 36.5 miles
I went down to Eureka, CA to stay at Leslie's house and then we got in a training run together on Saturday morning in an area of the Redwoods that she runs regularly, so it was fun running some place new and oh my word the temps were so nice! Stayed around 50-60 degrees the whole time. I had posted a few pics from our run on Sunday's daily which you all may have seen.
This week's running should be fairly similar to last weeks. Normally I would get in a run today to start out the week but it's my wedding anniversary, so probably best to skip today so the hubs and I can go out to dinner and celebrate. But I'm planning another 20ish mile run this Saturday on a trail about 40 miles from me that I've never run before, so looking forward to another new place to run this week. Then it's taper time.

Alexander - Yeah, the weekend was tough. I don't have access to a treadmill, so I just watched the radar and chose my spots based on when the rain was lighter. Still, it was a very solid week for you. Good job.
Tammy - Wow, that's a lot of elevation. Nicely done!
Paul - Congratulations on another Pike's Peak run! Even if it didn't go quite as you wished, it was an accomplishment.
A step back week for me in terms of mileage, but still some good workouts. Tuesday's track work went well and Thursday's pace run was really good. We were shooting for an average of 9:00/mile for the MP miles and averaged 8:58, despite adding a mile and 100' of elevation since last week's pace run, and I still felt strong and fresh after the 9 miles - I had to keep telling myself to ease up during the cool-down. If only we can get weather like that on race day (vs. the tropical storm conditions I had to run this weekend's easy miles in). 55.5 miles for the week.

Fred: I guess elev is relative to what one is used to. I thought that was flat for 20 miles! lol. Nice 55 mile week for you!
Zero running miles for the week. I just had a little doms on Sun-Tue. My time was spent catching up on a few neglected outdoor chores around the house. Coming up, I'll be back building mileage again.

Tammy, unfortunately I'm not seeing the pics, maybe something is wrong with my browser or something. It says "Maybe an image of 1 person" instead of showing the pic. Really great week of running, both the total and of course the 20 miler in the Redwoods takes the crown, well done!
Fred, great week and it is quite impressive that a 55 mile week for you is a cut back week now! With two 12 milers and a 10 miler, this is as good as it gets, I think. I mean, it would probably be hard to build beyond this without doing doubles. Target MP feeling easy is definitely a great sign as well.
Paul, makes total sense to take some time to recover. It's quite incredible that you have completed that legendary race 4 times.
