Mariposai

Another quick post to say that "Knee" and I did our first road run today for my first 3.5 road miles post knee injury. Today I am thankful for a great sports PT specialist.

Feeling powerful and looking forward to a solid 5 miles this weekend, on the road Smile

    Sweet dreams!

Good for you, Mariposai! Be careful on the buildup though, something I keep telling myself.

Sunny, 35°, slight breeze from the east (brrrr) but good for a 4 mile... (Let Me Repeat That: FOUR MILE) run on unevenly packed path this afternoon. I think the snow plow guy has given up, and the path was packed down with a path about a foot to 18" wide by fat tire bikes and walkers. Not ideal, and yeah my leg complained a bit on some of it, but overall a good run and did it in 35:35 (goal was 35 minutes). Another win! Heh, I'm gonna get tired of winning, I can tell.

Usually I slip out a little early on this conference (which I attend every year) in order to avoid the worst of the traffic, but this time they put a crucial session last.  Probably on purpose.

        Columbus traffic is evil.

        Holy Carp Dave59. I can't imagine.

Leslie - Friendly ground just sits there all nice and quiet like. I don't think I'd like to live where the ground does cardio with out a schedule.

Deez - Oh My Gosh. The heartache.

Erika - Love the four mile run!!!!

I've started forgetting what day it is while getting ready for the audit. Last Friday I had a 14 1/2 page list of every item I was have to account for-on top of the normal day to day routine. Each page has 64 lines. Each line item should be anywhere on our 10 acre property. Thursday afternoon I see a fella sniffing around the property scoping things out. I said, "Sir, you need a safety vest". Since those are right outside my office, I waylaid him. I showed him my copy of the report and pointed out the one line item I could not find. It's two pieces of molding about 7' tall we received for the supplier at no charge because the sales person filed a damage claim. The man said that he's never seen anyone do this before and asked if he could have the report. I told him he can have a copy when I'm done.

Friday comes along and I'm helping other people while I'm waiting for my audit. A new guy can't speak English well comes into my office and thanked me for helping and being nice to him. The dude gave me a Batman watch. I got a tear in my eye. Everyone should be nice to everyone else ya know.

The guy from cooperate is supposed to pull 20 random orders and we have to lay our hands on these items. For every item we can't find, he pulls 20 more random orders. It can snow ball quickly. The audit can last all day Friday and Saturday. If it goes into Sunday I can pack my gear and look for a new job.I'm solely accountable for 60-66% of the volume that comes through the property. Though I handle nearly all of it. There's a number of things outside my abilities. No one can unload every truck, count every item, load every delivery and wait on every customer. Holy All Day Love Affair Batman.

When three O'clock comes around I went a grabbed my auditor and told him we better get the show on the road. He said my audit was over Thursday night. I have to come in Saturday to help the others finish theirs, but I'm off the hook.
