I'm Just Gonna Put This Out There. If You Like It, Take It Not, Just Send It Back (Read 398 times)

Meh, $5 is $5...

Beer mile, anyone? The lack of Nashville representation is depressing. http://www.beermile.com/records/ref_state/state_TN And if the time posted by the UT men is not impressive enough, the world record's a 5:09. Shocked

    Hoodoo Guru

And no Tennessee Grandmasters record? Hmmmm.

      The tangents are moot.

      Why is it sideways?

Beer = Good Running = Good Beer + Running = Good This of course is an exception to the general principle of ( ) = Good Running = Good ( ) + Running = Bad
I just puked thinking about it. FYI, if you'd like to regain your tan i'm sure Deanna could hook you up with some ultra bronze passes at her boss's salon. Since she's currently getting paid in gummy bears, she has free reign. Just a suggestion.

The econ uber dork god in me feels partially compelled to write a utility function that shows that combining beer and running serves as a special case to the law of diminishing returns, and that the awesomeness derived from said combination grows without bound. I would get a nobel prize for it, surely. Yet, I'm lazy. The whole concept is odd enough that I feel like giving it a shot at some point to break from typical training monotony. Hell, I just want to see if I can go sub-6. That's now a new stretch goal. I'll need two pace setters - 1 for the repeats, the other for the beer. As an aside, I realized I've got Monday off. I'm game for a run and/or beers if anyone's in the mood, but not both at once...yet.

Ha, the tan thing was a theory I had formed about why I forgot to wear socks yesterday morning. This logic was later deemed false when a friend reminded me that this is the natural progression from mismatching dress socks and forgetting to wear a belt. One slip and you're scarred for life. In fairness, I hadn't slept for 40 hours when that happened. Long story. Surprisingly, no blisters from yesterday's stupidity. Go me.
I'd say we all do a Yazoo Thursday again soon even though Trent will only be there for 10 minutes per usual and Thunder & Liz will come thinking they're going on a tour. Smoopie is flying in next Thursday. Not early enough for tap room hours (I don't think), but i'm all about pre-gaming it. I mean it's only two days until the imaginary 11.2 race at that point, gotta carb up.

                  Good Bad & The Monkey

Come next Thursday afternoon (2/19), I may well could use a beer. Or three.

                    The Thunder

Those records aren't very accurate. We had some X-Techer's that were monsters at the beer mile. CK was top notch. The guy was a sub 6 min beer miler. Heck, I bet he's currently in the best drinking shape of his life. Not sure he can still run much though.

                      1 Hip and 2 Hamstring reconstructions later…

I'll be in Chicago. Getting back on Friday night if you all want to plan this anytime after that.

Actually Friday night IS better. Schneidr Ben Smoopie and I actually mentioned getting together for some food or something with some or all of you idiots. Anybody up for that? Yazoo Thursday of course is still a possibility.

I'm game. Two conference calls in the evening make Thursday tough but Friday's fine. I'll need much ale and various meats by then to celebrate getting through the last hectic day of busy season nĂºmero uno. Of course, I have no clue who any of you are and meeting me in person may contribute to mental scarring and all those other warnings in cialis ads. Don't say you weren't warned.

Yazoo don't serve meat. They do have some fine ales tho.
