Good luck at Richmond! Don't just do the first 3 slow ... do the first 10 slow. That is the lesson I learned from my recent implosion marathon.

Imminent Catastrophe
... I hit 13.1 at Marine Corps around 1:50 .... and it got pretty ugly around mile 17 until the finish. ...

Erica, What race do you have coming up this winter? I have one this coming Sunday and am really getting nervous and excited.
I was supposed to be hitting the Mobile, AL marathon in January, but my school schedule has messed up travel plans. I'm currently trying to decide on an alternate marathon - Austin on President's Day weekend is looking pretty good. It's hilly, but not extreme, and I'll have a free place to stay. I'll know lots of people so hopefully some of them can make it out to cheer me on. Good luck at your Sunday race!
Speed my steps along your path, according to your will.
I ran 3 marathons in 3 months a couple of years ago and I got significantly worse with each one.
