My next 1/2 is Baystate 1/2 in Lowell, MA 10/20 - last time I did this race we had a freak October snowstorm - let's hope there's not a repeat of that day!! My goal is sub 1:59

Wow...Dee (and Pam), it's great to have you show up over here in HMT.
Dee...I ran the Baystate marathon the year (2009) with the northeaster...yuck, it was miserable.
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
That must have been 2011 because the same thing happened to me when I ran the race that I'm looking to race next weekend and like you I really really hope it's not a repeat or worse yet HOT.

Hiya Andy! Nice job on the HM!
I'm BACK!!!
Well sort of Coming back from having a baby is harder then I thought it would be! Here are the races I have lined up soon...all will be way slower then what I was running at the beginning of the year.
Oh well, now I can set Post-Partum PR's!!!

Not sure about the PR. This is an inaugural race that's a fundraiser for our city's Santa Clause Parade and the 5k is immediately before the parade along the parade route. It just sounds like so much fun!
First or last...it's the same finish line

Race: Santa Shuffle 5K
Event URL: http://www.millenniumrunning.com/santa
Location: Manchester, NH
Goal time: 26:24 (Or roughly an 8:30 pace. This is my shoot-for-the-stars fantasy pace for my February 23 Half-Marathon, so we will see how it feels to sustain that pace in a 5K race).
This race is a little bit psychologically troubling to me, since the 5K used to be MY race during my first running career as a youngster and, of course, the likelihood of my ever getting close to the times I took for granted back then is pretty remote (ahhh, the arrogance of youth!) I am determined to enjoy the process of setting and beating my post-40 PRs for the 5K!
Current PRs: Half-marathon: 2:04:46 (Nov. 2013) /10k: 55:01 (Oct. 2013)/ 5K: 25:40 (Dec. 2013)
Upcoming races: 5k Jan. 25, 2013

Race: Tannenbaum 10k
Event URL: http://www.tannenbaum10k.com/
Distance: 10 km
Goal Time: Not too far off my best (1:12:21) I hope but it's more a fun run and to see how I do after a long run on Saturday
Well, I guess there's no more avoiding this...
Date: December 21, 2013
Race: New Years Double (halfs)
Event URL: http://www.newyearsdouble.com/
Distance: 21.1 km
Location: Allen TX
Goal Time: ideally 2:45:00 or less. Or maybe the other way around? Go easy on day one and am to PR on day 2? In which case today will be <3:00:00 'cause I don't ever want to go over 3 hours again!
