Her husband says she's in the 24-hour race -- she has no plans to stop at 100. But maybe, if she could see that record coming, she might change her mind.
They haven't updated lately, but Pam would be tantalizingly close to breaking Ann Trason's record for 100 miles (14:29.44). There are some amazing performances going on out there.
Hmm -- 100 miles in 14:29:44 = 8:42 pace, 86.49 miles in 12:43:00 = 8:49 pace. That would put her about 12 minutes short. To make that up over 13 miles would mean picking up her pace by almost a minute / mile.

I asked Pam's husband if Pam knows she's close to Ann Trason's record pace -- "Yes, she knows."
MTA -- but she is slowing down, if I have done my math correctly. 6.3 miles in 32 minutes is not going to happen.
Pam is through 100 in 15:01:40, second fastest American female to 100 on the track, behind Ann Trason.

DB seems to have stopped -- not marked as retired; presumably he's just taking a break. But it's been an hour.
DB has just dropped.
Pam has stopped... not sure of time / distance, but she says she didn't make it much past 100.
My original goal for Desert Solstice was to break the 200k American record, but I stopped way short of the goal. About 30 miles in I decided I wanted a sub15 100 mile split on the way and the effort just wore me out. And I didn't make it, running 15:01. So in some ways, failure all around. But that time is the 4th fastest N. American women's 100 time ever, and second fastest 100 mile track time after only the legendary Ann Trason, so it is a failure that I am very proud of.
WG is through 100 in 17:32.
Go WG!
Uh oh... now what?

Anybody know offhand what Ann Trason's 24 hr track record is?
Lots of great performances out there!

My friend, Joe Fejes, rocked it. 156.6 miles. So proud of him right now!
Fejes paced another friend of mine during the Pinhoti 100 last month, and I leapfrogged them for about 40 miles until they finally left me in the dust around Mile 80. I told Fejes after the race that it was a gift to be able to spend some time with him out there during my first hundo. He's a brilliantly strategic runner, but he's also a great friend to everyone around.
