The 'new and improved' Badwater:  July 28, 2015 with revisions (major or minor ?) to Badwater--starts late in the evening now. 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 p.m. That "little" change in starting times removes what might have been the primary element of Badwater--getting through the hot part in the heat of the day. It doesn't really matter with Badwater (with or without ™, ©, ®, €, or ø ) now thought to be any one of several places scattered across the U.S. If they get a decent field, the records should fall with that "cool" temperature start. The historical aspect of Badwater is gone. In a year or two, or even right now, few will know the difference.
