Notes
I felt pretty tired going into this run, especially because I didn't sleep in (so that I could run before church). I decided that today would be a good opportunity to practice the middle third of the 50-miler... I was tired/sore and wanted to practice eating and run-walking in the 7:1 ratio.
It worked pretty well, eating at 0:45 and 1:30 and the run-walk strategy was successful (see pace above!). I was able to run quite a bit faster in the run segments than I was yesterday and focusing I was able to walk pretty quickly.
I am still not 100% comfortable calling this a "run" because I did walk some of it but I guess I'll get used to it as long as I continue covering 16+ miles faster than 7:30/mi net pace.
