Notes
This is an unofficial time for now. I would have logged this as a tempo run, as I used this run as a long-ish tempo, but as it was a fairly big PR and in an official race, I figured that I would log it as such so it would show up in my PR list. I am sure that I could have run much faster, but I didn't prepare very well for this race; it was very cold and I didn't put much work into warming up properly and I was also a bit under dressed (short-shorts, a t-shirt, a jersey, and gloves for racing at 22 degrees... I may have seen only two other pairs of bare legs, and neither of them as bare as mine). In any case, I took first and second in the 5k (not officially, the winner ran 18:xx) but I ran each 2.5k faster than the one before: 8:52, 8:50 (17:42), 8:45, 8:41 (17:26). I'm quite happy with this effort and I think that it bodes quite well for the future.
