Notes

My legs were very tired today due to the very hard effort yesterday -- my calves were still sore and my quads and hamstrings were a little fatigued. I left with the option to cut the run short at either 4 or 8 miles or to continue to 16 but once I got going I realized that I wasn't going to feel significantly worse for running the full 12 and I probably wasn't going to be gaining very much by going all the way to 16, so I stayed with my original plan.

Practiced the 7-1 run-walk split again. It seems to be going well, allowing me to maintain a decent pace even while sore and tired. Hopefully this means that if I continue to practice that it will keep me fresh longer into the race and sustain me in the later stages on the big day.
