Notes

I was shooting for 1:16:30 for this race but fell short. I think the accumulated fatigue of the last several weeks combined with the cold/windy weather and having to run all by myself for the entire race. The winner beat me by 7 minutes and the next guy back was 2+ minutes so I really didn't have any of the race atmosphere to help out. Also, their idea of making the course flatter and faster was to replace the short, steep hill at the beginning with a multi-mile hill in the middle without much time to recover before the giant hill leading to the 10 mile mark.

Overall, I am happy with this effort. This race conditions suggest better fitness than the time alone and with workouts starting next week and a decent taper I know I can meet my marathon goals.
