This workout was a bit too easy. While the idea of starting a 400 every 2:45 is kind of a cool idea in theory, for people who can easily run around 70 seconds in this time it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I was surprised, though, at the lack of zip displayed by the other runners towards the end. The 7th interval seemed to sap them of a lot of energy and they all slowed down from the 7th to the 8th, making me look like I was going a lot faster than I was.

After the workout, I was a little disappointed because I feel like I should have been able to run under 60 at the end of this workout and so I'm thinking that I might not be in as good shape as I thought I was before. Not as much running and my now ultra-sedentary lifestyle (aside from running, of course) is not helping. I still haven't figured out a system that will work for getting my runs in, working, and seeing Brianna on a regular basis and I'm not ready yet to admit defeat and say that my days of racing at peak physical condition are over at the tender age of 22.
