10 milers are my favourite as one has the opportunity for so many workouts, combinations and games to play with either body or mind. A 10 miler here also means that at some point you will have hill running which is good news as it gives a spice to the run. So, I had all this today + caught up in the rain again (lucky me) but light rain and it was also pretty mild. So, it was a pleasure to run.

In this run I did not manage to focus exactly on what I wanted but it was in a way a scattered run in terms of mind, soul and body effort. My mind today visited so many different areas of life with the speed of light that I did not have even time to take in all the rushing thoughts.

I , however, was able at times to control these thoughts and get going. I find that hills help so much for this. I went the Bruno route half way to 5 miles and back so I had the long steep hill at approximately 7th and 8th point mile. I can never tell when I start a hill and when I am on top of it. It is so strange but it is as almost I am being absorbed by its beauty going up and up. Today I was good but I also felt my lower back a bit (sort of tired rather than any other). I think this week's increase of mileage has been good but also body feels it in a different way. My feet (both) feel some pressure on the sole and at times on tows and sides. I guess it is the muscles that still need time to fully recover. All I know I am so glad I have made m mind up not to do the Athens Marathon this year.

My first 30 miles in a week since before 24th May (a day to remember). So, so far so good.
