Notes

A bit icy this morning but nice and sunny. This run felt easy and my right leg felt so much better on the quad and hips. Yesterday's massage with the Greek Balsam Oil did wonders.

It has been an exciting weekend this watching the British Championships on Ice. I am fixed in front of the computer with intense excitement. Familiar faces and names that makes the watching even more exciting.

Running was good and I did a faster mile again as I felt good and this is how it goes. Just fast but easy if this makes any sense. No racing no following the clock or the Garmin but the body and the soul. It is then that miracle happens on the inside. BUT today is the day when I have put most miles per month since the re-fracture of my foot in Boston 6 days after my wedding / Re-fracture on 5th Jan 2011. How can I forget the day that changed it all for my running along with Dr's negligence. But I have to move on and away from the memory of that frozen pine cone in Boston which I landed upon and at the same exactly spot of the previous fracture. It was 6 below 0 C that morning and I was 3 miles away from home / no Frankie / no access to mobile / no - one around for 1.5 miles up and until the post-man volunteered to call the emergency services seeing me in a state of extreme pain and completely frozen hopping on the road. How can I forget this? It was just 4 days prior to that day when Franc and I competed for the 5k at Lowell Race and had finished 1st male and 2nd female. The Good & The Bad just together. So, now I know that I make the most of what I have as I do not know what is around the corner. But I stay away from the frozen pine cones too and I do look more often on the ground when running than ever before. It was freaky!
