Out & back
6 mi
1/2 to 1 mile easy warm up,
2 miles out,
2 miles back (9:40 average pace - so anywhere between 10:25-9:10, but remember, steady pacing is the aim here.),
1 mile cool down (10:30-11) 9:40 average pace
Choose an out and back course of similar difficulty each way or slightly faster on the home journey.
Warm-up briefly.
Run at a comfortably fast pace. This may seem "slow" to you at this point, but there will be a gradual buildup both in pace and distance.
