Excellent workout despite my phone shutting off during the night and sounding the wake-up alarm. Woke miraculously at 6:15 and hightailed it to the track. Weather was SO nice. Low temp, low humidity, and clear skies. That made all the difference in the workout. I was within 6 seconds of my target time for each 1200 and even hit one on the dot. The second and third intervals were really tough, but I hung on pretty well. Had a burst of energy before the last one (it was the last one, after all) and ran it almost as fast as the first.
John, Linda, and I scoped out Nicholasville afterward looking for a bakery, but there was none to be found tragically.
