Cardinal Opener 3k- 4th overall

Solid rust buster track race. Race got out hard and I settled well into no man's land in 5th place. Top 4 were out through the mile in 428-29ish maybe? I was likely 432-33 then. There wasn't a live clock and didn't really hear any splits after the first 800 so was pretty in the dark at how fast I was going. Moved into 4th with 400 to go and closed well. Felt like I had a couple more gears at the end but just didn't have anyone near me to push me. Very happy with the result though! I thought if I had a phenomenal day I could run as fast as 835, so I was right near that. I expected to be more "in" the race vs. being in no man's land but hey, those Chicago guys popped off with a blazing fast season opener (mad props to them). Overall this was a good experience for me and positive objective feedback as I inch closer to the half marathon Feb 27th
