10 mile tempo. drove over to herrick at 6 and then after a bit did a small jog and dynamic drills with the team. we started out with a loop towards the entrance of herrick by washington that started and ended by where we parked. it ended up being about 5 miles ( in 30:21 [6:08 pace] for me since i let them go right before that) and then i went str8 into 4 loops with omar, each loop was .85 but i tried to keep it easy since my leg was getting a little tight. ended up doing that 3.5 mile portion in 20:55 (5:59 pace). overall, i felt aerobically easy throughout. breathing wasnt great but i havent run this fast in 1.5 months. the last couple miles of the first 5 were probably5:30's if i could take a guess. i was trying to stay as smooth as possible so i could stay with the guys without straining at all. i tightened up a little but kept my body in check. i just need to keep working on keeping my legs loose and strengthening them up so i can do workouts and not have any issues. great first workout for the team though
