Gatorade Sweat Research test run #1
Had my first session of two this morning out in Barrington. The test is supposed to encompass me running on a treadmill with different sweat patches on me inside a 88-90 degree room. I was told both test runs would take the full 90 minutes but i sweat quite considerably and apparently the sweath patches they used today collect sweat at a much faster rate than the patch i will use a week from today during my 2nd session. I had planned on this run absolutely sucking: running on a treadmill, for 90min, in a super hot room, and without music. but quite honestly, it was a pretty enjoyable run. They kept the pace very chill so i was between 8-8.5mph the whole time so i didnt feel like i was exerting much, if any, effort. there was a fan blowing at me from the front so it didnt even feel hot in the room. and the 3 people conducting the test were talking with me the whole time so i was fairly engaged on other stuff. overall, solid easy run to get paid to do. next week will obviously be a bit more challenging if i actually have to do 90 minutes, but based on how i felt today, it really shouldn't be too bad
