long run with the freshman. went to bhenkes loop and thats where a few of us gapped the rest. started messing around with tennis balls as we picked it up. ended up turning left on plainfield/naperville road and went onto springbrook trail. we started off pretty slow on this run and by 4 miles were still just above 7 minute pace. once we got to springbrook is really where dan and i picked it up to catch beaver and jake ahead. i ended up turning at 31:00 and came back in 25:54. this means that my second half of the run was 5:38 pace and my last couple miles were probably around 5 flat. it was chilly out so i never truly warmed up which didnt help my breathing, but it was a solid progression long run to build up my aerobic strength and confidence in training
