brought the workout inside today because the roads werent totally cleared and it was cold. ended up doing a 4 mile tempo on the treadmill. splits were roughly 5:18, 5:07, 5:00, and then 4:50 to close it off. At the .5, 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 mile marks I increased the elevation for a minute by 8%, 6%, 4%, and then 2%, respectively. overall, i felt pretty good. this felt easy aerobically in my trainers which is great. my left hip was getting a bit tight the last mile, but i was also starting to run mid 4:30's/low 4:40's so that makes sense.
