Don Church twilight meet at wheaton. second heat of 1500. got out hard the first 100 meters to establish position and then i settled. i let beaver take it and i was in second for the next 400. then dan made a huge move and i didnt call. tyler , jaskowiak, and a couple other guys passed me because i was trapped on he inside of lane 1. i need to work on the middle of my races so that i dont get boxed in like this. when i hit 500 to go i wanted to take off but i couldnt because i was trapped so i had jaskowiak slightly move out and then i snuck by him on the inside of lane 1. between 400 and 300 out i was trapped behind another guy and mcquality. with 300ish or less to go i finally broke out to lane 4 and took off. it felt like everyone else was walking because i felt so good and had so much left. i caught beaver by 200 to go and was catching dan rapidly. i knew with 100 left i would be able to catch him and win but that it would be close. i caught dan with 15 meters left but let off and pushed him ahead because i wasnt going to bitchkick him. felt great though and wasnt really even panting afterward. i know i can go faster so it was a confidence booster for sure. not entirely sure on splits. i just know the first 400 was 65 and i heard i closed in 59, mainly in the last 275meters. i got 3rd overall and second in the heat. it was a great race/day
