Bailed out. Just really hot and still feeling sluggish like yesterday. Of course my mind is now racing through everything thats going wrong and over analyzing my training to figure out why I've had two bad days in a row. I think there are two main reasons. One because I'm not hydrated - and more than just a little bit I think over the last week I've been really bad and its catching up to me now and I'm just really exhausted. I also think that since I had that one really good tempo like 3 weeks ago I've gotten away from the mindset that got me there and have been too ambitious with the pace. In the beginning of the summer I wanted to stay really conservative on the pace and just to get the duration in. I would start at 620 and then on top of that adjust for heat. I think it was just naive to try to replicate my best tempo (which had perfect conditions) every week disregarding the heat or my preparation. I think I just need to go back to the mindset that allowed me to have a great day like I did. However on top of all of that its no joke that I've felt tired probably from not drinking enough water, I'll take Monday off to hopefully reset before the season.
