Not my slowest time at PVC... Felt really good in the couple days leading up to this so I did get my hopes up a little that today would be really good... didn't quite happen but wasn't terrible either. Got out I think right on pace around 5:35, obviously slowed down from there but didn't catch any other splits. Ran with C-dog for most of the first loop and out on the field but lost him as he started to crank it up going back into the trails. I think I should've stuck with him... ended up alone for the rest of the race and I don't think I pushed the trails as hard as I could've the second time around. Felt probably better than I should have by the top of the hill and kicked it in the last half mile. Tough day overall but just happy I was able to go out there and compete. 2 weeks till the next one
