pretty windy this morning. 16 mph from the south. did long run with the boys and we were actually going faster than I was anticipating into the wind. the goal was to go 4 miles as building warm up into the 8-9 mile progression per johnny's training plan, then cool down the remainder. good banter helped the initial miles go by quickly but I broke away from them around the casino and was on my own from there. 5:50-5:10 was the goal but with the first 2.5 miles into the wind it was much more effort-based. obviously once I got the wind at my back it was easier but I focused on maintaining and gradually increasing the effort. cooled down the last 2 miles and change with Amanda and Reagan who were finishing their long run.
