The Michigan, Round #2. 1600/1200/800/400 w/ 1 Mile tempo, 45" between all. Legs were feeling tired on the warm up but may have been a little pre-workout nerves because last time this workout thoroughly butt-fucked me, at least this time i didnt have to start with a 2k. Started aggressive on the mile but was still only 4:50 pace through half and pressed a little more and closed well. 4:44.1. Started off the tempo on 5:25 pace but must have settled in too much and even with a last quarter pick up could only manage a 5:35. pushed the 1200 as well and could feel a cramp starting to creep up but kept on the pace, hit 3:29.9. By the middle of the 2nd tempo mile my legs felt like cinder blocks. my hips were tight and my push off seemed minimal. died to a 5:39 but told myself now I was over halfway and that little bit of faith helped a lot. started slow on the 800 and couldnt quite bring it in as strong as the previous two intervals, ran 2:21.8. on the last mile I actually was feeling more rhythmic but the pace just wasnt there. I didnt fret about it at this point just wanted to close out the last 400 and finish. 66.8 for the close wasnt blazing but i was working. Johnny wanted the tempo portions to be 5:20's and I wasnt even close so I get a C for execution, however, the morning wasnt a complete waste, still nailed a few good intervals on fatigued legs so I can be happy about that.
