Got F'd in the B this morning. The way the next few weeks are lining up this was pretty much the only chance I had to get the key workout in. 4 miles at Half pace+ 10 miles Steady+ 4 Miles at Half pace. Weather has been bad all week and today was no different, it would have been the same if I waited until Sunday to do it. 92 on the heat index, 15 mph S, 69 % humidity, 73 degree dew point. Again. Fuck. 20:43 for the 4 mile, w/ an abysmal last mile in 5:17. When I set off on the 10 mile steady I was hopeful that my legs would come back to me but my legs were just heavy af. I stopped a few times because I felt the need to pee and each time I only mustered a few bright orange drops. I tried really hard to keep a positive frame of mind but 800 into the final 4 miles I was falling apart. I recouped and tried to just be as economical as possible. I stopped at 2 miles (10:42) and collapsed to the ground panting and trying to keep my eyes open because I was afraid I'd just pass out. Took my sweet ass time getting to the point of jogging a cool down then loafed my happy ass 2 miserable miles. I knew today would be rough, but gawdahm.
