5 sets of 4x400 w/ 75” jog, 2:30 between sets. I’ve been feeling my mortality the last few days, skipped the shake out yesterday so I wouldn’t be fudged for these 400s. No particular pace was given, but was instructed to drop 2-3” on the last rep of each set. First set took a little gauging to figure out what was hard enough while being sustainable. 68.5, 67.6, 67.7, 65.7. Settled into the next two sets, aiming for 67’s which I found to be challenging but I was recovering fast enough in between that I could maintain it. 67.8, 67.9, 67.8, 65.8//68.0, 67.4, 67.2, 64.7. The fourth set took some focus but hit the same paces just fine. 67.4, 66.9, 67.4, 64.9. Final set I still had a good amount left in the tank but didn’t want to fall apart and ruin a good workout. 67.9, 67.1, 67.8, 64.2. Great rhythm work this morning!
