16x400 w/45" first 8, 75" second half, 2' rest after 8. Windy morning but knew it was coming, 16 mph out of the south with occasional gusts in the mid 20's. Went to the track since there's no really good place anyways, did the first 200 into the wind then had it at my back the next 200. during the warm up my Achilles' (which have been stiff the last couple days) weren't feeling great; that paired with the wind, I would've been happy with averaging 70-72. Started off with a surprising 68.4 and followed it up with 66.6, 66.8, 66.2, 66.9, 66.2, 66.0, 66.7.The 45" rest was just enough to feel ready to go again but as the set wore on I started looking forward to the 75" to come after the halfway break. 67.3, 65.9, 66.5, 66.2, 65.9, 64.9, 65.9, 64.0. through out the entire workout I would come through 200 in 33-34 (on a couple occasions 35) which was promising with the steady headwind. the second half of the rep wasn't always easy however. the aggressive tailwind would force me to focus on my stride and body positioning. Very happy with the work that I got in this morning!
