Not entirely sure how to feel about this one. on one hand i was aggressive and pushed myself hard, on the other i bascially went overboard too early and crumbled to the finish. Not that it's a super valid excuse but after the 3rd hard mile, I was met with a stiff southern headwind that made the effort significantly harder, went for 6mph at the beginning to 13mph. the last 3 out of 5 hard miles were right into that damned headwind. objectively it was one of the better long runs ive put together under johnny's training, but a lot like the one i did in Wisconsin last fall, it took so much effort that i was basically dead at the end. need to focus on recovery these next couple days.

You ran well. Nothing crazy but a good solid day of strength work will pay off heavily. Sucks that the last few miles were into the wind. Objectively you take away 10 MPH headwind the miles are like 10+ seconds faster which makes this a great workout.
