long run w/ the last 8 alt. MP and 30-40" slower. first 12 were kind of shitty. took me a little while to find even a semblance of a rhythm and even getting up to 10 miles I was pretty certain the harder portion of the run was not going to go as planned. I was quite wrong. 5:12/5:42/5:10/5:40/5:10/5:37/5:11/5:45. Felt very smooth through out the last 8 miles, whenever I'd drop down to the steady paced miles it felt like I was on cruise control. Aside from being chased by a stray dog half way through the initial 12 and taking up refuge in a port-o-potty, it was an unexpectedly great run!
