Prairie Fire Fall Half Marathon. 1st. 4:40 MOV. 1:07:59. A bit of a let down today. The last five years there have been a handful of Kenyans coming in around 64-67 min. When I was standing on the line, I saw no one capable of breaking 75 min. Had to play a few mins games in the early miles as I figured out what I was going to do with the race. Kind of ran whatever I was feeling until I decided I’d keep working and try to neg split from the first 6 miles to the second. 31:09 for he first 6, 30:50 for the second so that was at least accomplished. Honestly felt pretty relaxed for the most part running around 5:10. A few times I’d let it slip on way or the other but with such a huge lead it didn’t really matter. Solid solo effort, less than a minute off my PB.
