(74, 74 feel, 57 dp, NE8) 2 sets of 5-4-3-2-1 fartlek w/ half next rep, 4' jog between sets. Last workout in champaign, we move to Iowa City tomorrow. My quad was feeling almost 100%, I could only feel it every now and then the whole morning. Weather was nice enough although the uphill stretch along Lincoln was into an annoying 8mph headwind. The first 4' and 3', and second 5', 3', 1' were all on that challenging stretch. I have been burying myself with mileage the last few days and this was the first workout I'd be doing in such a state. Took it rep by rep, and tried my best to not worry about the pace. The first set went by well enough, and on a few occassions, I was able to pick up the pace on the second set. However, each rep was unique in how much wind or elevation change I was working with so it's hard to directly compare the sets. I will eventually need to keep the recoveries honest, but not today.
