Notes

I debated noting this as a trail run because of the 1200 ft of vert but will keep it as a slower run. Jack, Holden, Vincent and I drove to Griffith Park for the run and started on the horse trail that wrapped around the park before cutting into the hills to try to get to Griffith Observatory. After missing a few key turns we eventually tried to find the old LA Zoo grounds. Some of the pitches were insanely steep and what I was doing was more akin to power hiking than running. There were a must've been 4 stretches when the grade was well over 15%. Glute almost gave out on one of the descents and I would've landed face-first into a rock outcrop if that happened. Despite the wild shifts in pacing and some backbreaking climbs it was a lot of fun adventuring with the boys!
