Notes
16x400 w/100 jog. 10-degree windchill this morning so it seemed like a good day to go inside and do some interval training. I wasn't feeling spry but the prospect of running quicker and getting some variety in my mileage was a driving force. Like the last couple of workouts, I didn't go to the track expecting a certain pace. What I might have underestimated though, was that the 100m jog recovery. After about 9 reps I could tell my breathing and legs were lagging behind ever so slightly, but cumulatively, that I decided 16 was just fine. 71.5, 69.0, 69.7, 69.1, 70.1, 69.0, 68.0, 69.5, 68.4, 68.8, 68.3, 68.3, 68.3, 68.4, 69.3, 67.7. I was going through 200 in 34 on all but the 2-3 reps. I know I shouldn't get too worried about a workout this early, but I really thought 20 was a reasonable expectation in terms of reps. Oh well, move on and enjoy the fact that I'm running happy and healthy.
