Doozy of a long run this morning. 10x 2’ surges on 8’ intervals after 40’ then cool down to 22. When I started it was just humid, 72 dp but decently cool, 77. By the end it was 85 ( feel of 92). I did loops in Mohawk, I have a 7 and change loop that does well for long runs. Ran the first one shirtless b/c I knew it would get hot but the bugs were so relentless that after the first lap. On the pick ups the first couple were building into the pace then I ended up near MP. The last 5 I finished closer to 5:05-10. The heat picking up made it rough on top of the fact that this was a top 10 longest training run of my life thus far.
