2 mile w/4’+2xMile w/3’+800. Final tune up workout. It was 45 degrees and i ran with a slight tailwind to help the confidence. Hips and hammy were all good! Derek is a miracle worker. Johnny wanted it around 10:30, 5:05, 2:2x. And I was well under. I wasn’t pressing outside of the first 800 of the 2 mile. 10:16.6 (5:09.4, 5:07.2). Johnny left the rest up to me as long as it was 3+ min. The rest was more than enough and I was fully recovered before the next rep. 4:56.1 and 4:49.3. The second mile I was on pace for 4:54 but I was detoured off the path because no of construction and may have picked it up too much going through the grass thinking it would slow me down. finished off the workout with a solid 800! Felt smooth and controlled, a lot like floating!
