Definitely not the workout I had in mind. Wind chill was below 0 for the first time all winter and my legs felt like it. I even wore pants today but it didn't matter, my hips and hamstrings were tight the whole workout. I never felt opened up and I felt stiff and tight on my upper body as well. The warm-up, easy segments, and cool-down were fine. My moderate and hard segments felt no where near as fast as I'd like. The weather was definitely hindering me a bit but no excuses for feeling this far off. I was at best getting a mile in the 5:00 hard segments, more than likely less and didn't feel like I was cruising under 6:00 pace during the moderate segments. Plenty of room for improvement but having some warmer weather could definitely enhance the workout quite a bit. Exact workout was 10 minute warm-up, 3 sets 5 easy,5 medium,5 hard, followed by a 10 minute cool-down. I hope I run better on Sunday.
