Slept in today to try to keep this sickness thing at bay as best I could. My workout time got cut a bit short due to a change in the schedule at work as well as some random noob not showing up to watch the pool at the right time this afternoon. Started my workout as soon as they showed up, did a 22:00 warm-up/tempo but intensity is always a little hard to gauge and keep pushing for an extended period of time. Definitely was working up a solid sweat the last 7-10 minutes worth. Took a minute to get my breath and regain composure and then jumped in to simulating Loomis St. Hills. Can't remember how long the hill normal is so did 8 x 1:00 hard with 1:00 jog between, then jogged for 5 minutes, followed by 3 x 65 secs hard with :55 recovery and then did :45 all-out. Was getting some very solid reps in during these portions but couldn't remember what the rest was supposed to be. Felt strong on the main portion of the workout after feeling a bit sluggish and tired on the warm-up. Sickness doesn't seem to be holding me back too much currently. Only could get 5 minutes of cool-down in before I was booted from the pool and had to get back to work. Made an appointment with Dr. O'Brian for Friday so hopefully I'll have some more insight and closure on what is ailing the foot later this week. Until then, I'm going to get as much working out as I can handle while holding the sickness at bay.
