1/2/3/4/3/2/1 surge long run today, starting at 45 minutes. Tried to keep the on reps around 5:30 pace since that felt comfortably strong, with the off intervals in the 6:teens. Did most of the fartlek at Oak Ridge, but no matter what direction I was going, I was pretty much always getting destroyed by the wind. It was awful. Then after the final 2 minute rep, my thumbs started feeling really tingly and I was just fed up with the wind dominating me. I'll double back this evening to get the mileage.
