Run off the bikes on the 1.5 mile starting loop of the duathlon. The act of running felt strange at first. Not slow or bad, just strange, after all that biking. Mark suggested for the race, when coming into the exchange zone, to stand up and stretch while still on the bike. Tucked position means tight hip flexors, and quads will be quite worked by this point.

Run was good though. The 1.5mi course is pretty flat. Can't say the same for the last 3 though. Looks like there's a big hill in the middle, on a trail no less. Hoping to preview that this weekend or early next.
